Presented for the first time at PARCEL Forum 2008, this one day course is designed to provide a basic working knowledge of the laws and regulations affecting the supply chain with a special emphasis on parcel shipping. This is the vital information you need for minimizing risks and protecting revenues for your organization and for your own individual professional growth. Parcel Transportation: A Blueprint to Maximize Service & Reduce Transportation Costs
The workshop will discuss how shippers are staying current with a changing landscape (the demise of DHL and the emergence of USPS) and what steps they should be taking for the future. Additionally, the workshop will examine the use of regional carriers, LTL, or other modal shifts that occurring as well as how to better position themselves with the two dominant carriers, UPS/FedEx. The workshop will also discuss how shippers can better utilize carrier provided shipping systems or multi-carrier systems and benchmark accessorial charges, rates, terms, length, GRI relief and other variables that impact you transportation spend.
PARCEL Key Executive Program Roundtable
In a trusted and confidential setting, this half-day workshop (up to14) company presidents and key executives in the parcel industry will help each other tackle the most challenging issues they face in running and growing their operations. The meeting will be professionally facilitated by a highly trained Chair, who guides both the content and flow to ensure that every member receives the maximum return on the time they invest.
