PARCEL Forum ’21 DC is committed to the safety of all our attendees, speakers, exhibitors and staff by following all CDC, State, Local and Hotel safety guidelines. In partnership with the Marriot’s Gaylord National Resort, we have designed a multi-prong approach for implementing new safety measures and health protocols to our event operations and policies. We will continue to monitor the evolving situation and adhere to all official government and local authority guidance.

Vaccinations are recommended prior to traveling to PARCEL Forum ’21 DC. (Fully vaccinated means at least 2 weeks have passed since your second dose of a two-dose vaccine or the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.)
Local/Venue Masking Recommendations
PARCEL Forum ’21 DC will follow the most current local, national and hotel-specific guidance on masks at the time of the event. As of Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 5:00 PM, Prince George’s County requires all vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals to wear masks in all indoor public venues. PARCEL Forum ’21 DC will provide complimentary masks on-site at the event.
This new local requirement is subject to change as the situation evolves. PARCEL Forum '21 DC is closely monitoring all official local government guidance and will continue to update our health and safety procedures here.
In addition, PARCEL Forum ’21 DC will set up numerous outdoor break areas scattered in front of the conference rooms and Expo Hall along the Potomac River for all attendees, exhibitors, speakers and staff members.
Commitment to Clean
Consistent with CDC recommendations, the Gaylord National Resort is intensifying their usual, thorough cleaning procedures around floors, doors and other public areas using sanitizing and disinfectant formulas recommended by the CDC, with cleaning/sanitizing taking place throughout the day. In conjunction with the venue's medical advisory partner, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, they have implemented extensive health and safety cleanliness standards. Read the full guidelines here.
Attendees are asked to bring their confirmation email, which includes a barcode to the event. Individuals will simply scan the barcode to print out their badge on-site.
On-Site Social Interactions
PARCEL Forum ’21 DC understands individuals will have different comfort levels interacting with staff and fellow attendees at the event, depending on their personal situation and risk levels. To help facilitate interaction at the event, attendees will be provided different colored dots to display on their badge indicating their personal comfort levels of social interaction on-site.
GREEN: Indicates an individual is comfortable with the below social interactions:
- Shaking hands - Participating in large gatherings - Conversations in close proximity
YELLOW: Indicates an individual prefers to practice social distancing whenever possible and to limit any physical contact between individuals.
Freeman’s Commitment to Safety
Freeman is the official event decorator and Exhibit service contractor ofPARCEL Forum ’21 DC. Freeman will require their staff and related staff who are on property or in event spaces to wear a mask and practice social distancing. This includes all union team members. All Freeman employees are required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test result within 3 days of the event to be allowed on-site.
PARCEL Forum’sStaff Health Protocols
All PARCEL Forum staff working at the event and on property will be vaccinated prior to being on-site or will be required to be masked at all times if unvaccinated.
Food & Beverage Service
PARCEL Forum ’21 DC is committed to offering safe and enjoyable food & beverage services within our event spaces. All meals will be plated or located on numerous social-distanced food stations. No buffet-style service will be available.
Whenever possible, conference breaks and select special events will take place outdoors on the Riverview Terrace, weather permitting.
Custom Signage and Sanitizing Stations
PARCEL Forum ’21 DC will display clear signage detailing local government and hotel safety guidelines around the event spaces. Attendees will find hand sanitizing stations at entrances, exits and throughout the facility.
Attendee Duty of Care
Prior to receiving your badge, all attendees, exhibitors, speakers and staff will be required to sign a Waiver of Liability as well as agree to comply with all guidelines and recommendations set forth by the CDC, local government agencies, the venue and event leadership. We ask all those individuals entering the conference and event spaces to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms or exposure throughout the conference. We ask all individuals displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 or any other contagious infections to not enter the event space.
